Athens - June 16, 2022 - A consortium led by Uni Systems signed the contract with the Greek authorities for one of the first projects included in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, designed to promote the digital transformation of the country and, more specifically, the complete upgrading of the system of financial and fiscal management of the Greek state.
This is a landmark project for public administration in Greece and has a value of over 50 million euros. The project is one of the first to be included in the Recovery Fund, as well as the first to be implemented as part of the "Greece 2.0" Plan.
The scope of the project is to provide new digital tools that will cover the Ministries’ and Decentralized Administrations’ operational needs and will bring the complete upgrading of the financial and fiscal management system of the Greek state.
Thanks to this project, the fiscal authorities will be able, among others, to:
- Record all public cash flows, at all stages of the expenditure, from the initial approval to the end of each expenditure, through intermediaries and services, to the final beneficiary.
- Speed-up payments by the central administration.
- Providing reliable, real-time data to all stakeholders, with the aim of optimizing policies and defending the public interest.
- Make a correct and immediate assessment of the country's credit ability.
- Increase transparency, through the interoperability capabilities that will connect the central system to the relevant systems of other public bodies.
- Improve budget preparation, implementation
The project will be implemented under a four (4) year duration framework agreement.
