Athens, April 10, 2024 – Uni Systems undertook the implementation of the framework agreement with the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus, amounting to 8 million euros, for the provision of specialized services and Microsoft 365 software licenses with the aim of strengthening digital resilience and increasing the Ministry’s productivity.
The framework agreement signed by Uni Systems, one of Microsoft's largest Enterprise Software Advisors (ESA) and License Solution Providers (LSP) in the wider EU area, will serve 10,000 users and includes: email software installation services and migration services of existing accounts to Microsoft 365, the provision of licenses for secure collaboration and document handling tools, cloud computing services, project management, reporting and custom user interface development tools, for smooth work management, as well as support services (M365 Operations Desk). At the same time, executive training will be offered regarding the optimal use of the above tools, which is expected to lead to the further upgrading of public officials’ digital skills.
It is worth noting that this contract is the second largest one signed by the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus after 2020, and one of the largest IT projects that have been announced by the entire Public Sector of Cyprus during the same period via the Electronic Contracting System (source: https://www.eprocurement.gov.cy/epps/getTaskList.do).
The project’s implementation is of particular importance for the digital upgrading and efficacy reinforcement of the Public Administration of the Republic of Cyprus, and it is expected to contribute significantly, among others, to the successful implementation of a flexible work framework in the public sector.
Uni Systems maintains a close cooperation with Microsoft as a Solutions Partner, having acquired Specializations in the fields of Infrastructure / Database Migration on Azure & Analytics on Azure and Designations in Modern Work and Security, which also demonstrates its specialization in Microsoft value-added services addressing large public and private sector organizations across Europe.
"We would like to thank the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy of the Republic of Cyprus for the opportunity to contribute to a framework agreement that is of particular importance for the Cypriot public sector and its citizens", stated Dimitris Kavallieros, Uni Systems’ International BU Director. "With this project, our share in the Cypriot State IT projects has significantly increased to further support our strategy to transfer in the local market digital know-how and practices by corresponding projects we implement both for EU Organizations and the Greek Public Sector.
