The contract with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Digital Services (DG DIGIT) will strengthen the cybersecurity posture of the European Union institutions, bodies, and agencies.
Athens, 16 September 2025 - The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Digital Services (DG DIGIT) has awarded the Framework Contract for External IT Security Support (CLOUD II DPS 2 MC17 FREIA-Lot1) to EUCYBERSAFE Consortium, consisting of Unisys (leader), Uni Systems, and Wavestone, in an effort to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of the European Union institutions, bodies, and agencies.
The contract, with a ceiling value of more than 326 million EUR and a duration of 48 months (2025 - 2029), will enable the provision of highly specialised professional services in the field of cybersecurity across the EU institutional ecosystem. Beneficiaries include nearly all EU institutions and bodies, notably the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, and the Union’s decentralised agencies.
Uni Systems and the EUCYBERSAFE Consortium has been entrusted with Lot 1 – Technical Operations Services, which covers the operational needs of contracting authorities requiring advanced technical and engineering expertise in cybersecurity, with services including:
- Development and maintenance of detection rules for SIEMs, tailored to the evolving threat landscape.
- Management of alerts and execution of incident response procedures.
- Handling of cybersecurity incidents, including forensic and malware analysis.
- Definition and implementation of secure IT architectures.
- Code review, penetration testing, and vulnerability management.
- Development of tailored threat intelligence, drawing on public, commercial, and institutional sources.
- Proactive threat hunting and tracking of malicious actors.
