The FluiDOS project, the Horizon Europe initiative building a fluid, dynamic, scalable and trustable computing continuum, will present its final results at the IoT Tech Expo 2025 in Amsterdam on September 24-25, 2025. This concluding appearance is the opportunity to showcase tested solutions, share lessons learned, and show how FLUIDOS can accelerate the adoption of IoT, smart infrastructure, and edge platforms in Europe.
With more than 8,000 attendees, expert speakers and technology providers, the IoT Tech Expo, part of TechEx Europe, is one of the largest events dedicated to IoT and digital transformation. For FLUIDOS, this is the final opportunity to engage with the tech community and present European research in distributed computing.
FLUIDOS and the other MetaOS ecosystem projects (aerOS, NEPHELE, ICOS, NEMO, NebulOuS) have planned and co-organised a two-day programme with panel discussions, technical presentations and live demonstrations. Visitors will be presented with use cases shaping the future of smart systems and IoT applications across sectors such as manufacturing, mobility, energy, smart buildings, agriculture, and media.
Demonstrations, which will take place at Stand Number 6 in the exhibition area, and presentations explore key themes of the operating for the edge:
· Ecosystem building and Open-source software artifacts from the Meta-OS projects: openness, modularity and extensibility;
· MetaOS core architecture and platform integration;
· Edge-to-cloud federation in a secure and trusted way across the computing continuum;
· IoT virtualisation and convergence with edge/cloud and network management mechanisms in the computing continuum;
· AI-driven optimisation, resource management and self-adaptation.

FLUIDOS representatives will participate throughout the two-day programme:
· Dr. Fulvio Risso (Politecnico di Torino, Project Technical Coordinator) will address the solutions that stand out from the project, and what were the main challenges during the course of the project during a panel discussion on September 24.
· Lorenzo Moro (TOP-IX, Work Package Leader) will focus on the exploitation of the project results and impact in another panel discussion on September 25.
· Dr. Stefano Galantino, from Politecnico di Torino, will give a presentation on how the MetaOS projects address different parts of the edge-to-cloud continuum.

About FLUIDOS
The FLUIDOS project is a pioneering initiative under the Horizon Europe framework, designed to advance edge computing technologies and solutions. FLUIDOS (Flexible, scaLable, secUre, and decentralIseD Operating System) aims to leverage the enormous, unused processing capacity at the edge, scattered across heterogeneous edge devices that struggle to integrate with each other and to coherently form a seamless computing continuum.
